LARGE COVERED JAR DIGOIN

The Digoin stoneware and pottery factory was originally a family-run artisanal business founded in 1875, on the banks of the Canal du Centre in Burgundy. Having been dormant for several years, the Manufacture came back to life in 2014, when several investors came together to save the company with the ambition of perpetuating historical savoir-faire and restoring the prestige of meaningful, historically-rich culinary objects.

The preserve jar was used for condiments in Burgundy. Today, all uses are permitted: a wide variety of fruits and vegetables can be prepared in this stoneware container, perfect for macerating in oil or vinegar, garnished with aromatic herbs. With excellent sealing against light and humidity, it is also ideal for keeping spices dry, breakfast cereals, or simply, ice cubes for your aperitifs.
