The Digoin stoneware and pottery factory was originally a family-run artisan business founded in 1875 on the banks of the Canal du Centre in Burgundy. Dormant for several years, the Manufactory came back to life in 2014, when several investors came together to save the company with the ambition of perpetuating historical know-how and restoring the prestige of meaningful culinary objects steeped in history.
The preserving jar was used for condiments in Burgundy. All uses are now permitted: a wide variety of fruits and vegetables can be prepared in this stoneware container, perfect for macerating in oil or vinegar, enhanced with aromatic herbs. With excellent sealing against light and humidity, it is also ideal for keeping spices dry, breakfast cereals, or simply, ice cubes for your aperitifs.
